Ramesh Adige is a Masters in Business Administration with specialization in Marketing from the renowned Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi and holds a B.E. (Honours) degree from the prestigious Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani.

Ramesh was Executive Director of Ranbaxy Laboratories (India’s largest pharmaceutical company with world-wide foot prints, selling its products in 125 countries) and spearheaded the Corporate Affairs and Global Corporate Communications functions. He also held global responsibility for CSR, EHS, Admin & Security.

He has 43 years of extensive and wide-ranging experience in the areas of Corporate Policy, Public Affairs & Public Policy, Strategic and Perspective Planning, External Relations and the broader spectrum of Business Activities including Joint Ventures, Technical & Financial collaborations. Besides representing Ranbaxy in various pharma bodies, he was an active participant in the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) and headed the CII’s Task Force on IP Policy. He interacts frequently with numerous departments and ministries in the Govt of India. He set up the Healthcare Committee in the PHD Chamber of Commerce. Presently he is Chairman of PHD Chamber’s Rural Development Foundation (PHDRDF), which specializes, inter-alia, in building water harvesting structures.

Ramesh played a very active role in furthering Indo-US relations thru contributions in Trade Policy Forum meetings instituted by the Govt of India & the US Administration both in Washington DC, & in New Delhi. Also with the United States India Business Council (USIBC) etc. He also has strong links with the U.K, and the EU in Brussels.

He was closely associated with the George Washington University Law School, Washington DC and has been instrumental in forging a partnership with CII, New Delhi on Intellectual Property Law and facilitating an MoU between the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (an autonomous body affiliated to Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Govt of India)
